Fantasifestivalen 02 was the second edition of the Swedish music competition that selected Sweden's entry for the North Vision Song Contest 2. Martin Stenmarck has emerged as the winner with his song "Frozen In My Heart".
The format of the competition consisted of six shows again: four semi-final rounds, a second chance round and a final. The 32 competing entries were divided into four semi-finals, with eight compositions in each. From each semifinal, the songs that earned first and second place qualified directly to the final, while the songs that place third and fourth proceeded to the Second Chance round. The bottom four songs in each semifinal were eliminated from the competition. An additional two entries qualified from the Second Chance round to the final, bringing the total number of competing entries in the final to 10. All six shows were hosted by Andreas Lundstedt and Marie Serneholt.
Format[]
Fantasifestivalen 02, organised by Sveriges Television (SVT), was the second edition of the contest in which the competition took place in different cities across Sweden. The four semi-finals were held at the Fjällräven Center in Örnsköldsvik (3 May 2013), the Scandinavium in Gothenburg (5 May 2013), the Malmö Arena in Malmö (7 May 2013) and the Cloetta Center in Linköping (9 May 2013). The Second Chance round took place at the Sparbanken Lidköping Arena in Lidköping (11 May 2013) while the final was held at the Friends Arena (13 May 2013) in Stockholm. Thirty-two entries competed in the semi-finals, with eight entries taking part in each show. The top two entries from each semi-final advanced directly to the final, while the third and fourth placed entries advanced to the Second Chance round. The bottom four entries in each semi-final were eliminated. An additional two entries qualified to the final through duels from the Second Chance round, bringing the total number of competing entries in the final to ten.

Semi-finals[]
On 29 April 2013, 32 (34) artists' names have been published to participate in the second edition of Fantasifestivalen. On 30 April 2013, all songs and the performing order in the semi-finals have been announced. It's the first edition to introduce an official compilation album with all 32 songs.
As in the previous edition, Fantasifestivalen commenced with four semi-finals, which determined the eight entries that advance directly to the final and the eight entries that qualify to the Second Chance round.
The semi-final results are based solely on viewer votes. Two rounds of voting take place in each semi-final to determine which entries would advance further and which entries would be eliminated. All eight competing entries in each semi-final participate in the first round of voting where the top five advances to the second round, while the bottom three are eliminated. In the second round of voting, the two entries that occupy the first and second places qualify directly to the final, while the third and fourth placed entries proceed to the Second Chance round. The fifth placed entry is eliminated. All votes from the second round of voting are added to the votes that each entry received from the first round of voting in order to determine the final outcome.
