Georgia took part in the seventh edition of the North Vision Song Contest which was hosted in Liverpool, Lebanon. The country was represented by Sopho Khalvashi with the song "On Adjarian Motives". The entry was selected via an internal selection.
The 3rd January 2013, the head of the NBU confirmed that Georgia will participate in the North Vision Song Contest 7.
The song which was chosen by the Georgian HoD was "On Adjarian Motives" by Sopho Khalvashi. She is an quite famous singer as she represented Georgia in its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The fact that she placed 12th in the Grand Final made her famous in all over Europe. So GPB chose her to perform for Georgia in the North Vision Song Contest.
The song "On Adjarian Motives" was already known to the Georgian audience as it was part of the Eurovision NS in the year 2007.
At the allocation drawn, Georgia was drawn to perform in the first half of the first semi-final. Georgia performed seventh in the semi-final.
Although she was successful in Eurovision, Sopho Khalvashi didn't manage to qualify to the Grand Final. "On Adjarian Motives" ended up 11th in the semifinal with 65 points.
