The original broadcaster was "EPT" but with problems concerning the stability with the government, the contract was signed to "Elliniki Teliorasi" an independent state broadcaster. After the non qualification in North Vision Song Contest 7, a new HoD took over and a brand new broadcaster NERIT (New Hellenic Radio, Internet and Television), (Greek: Νέα Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία, Ίντερνετ και Τηλεόραση, abbrev. ΝΕΡΙΤ, NERIT) joined the NBU.After the 15th edition ERT was back as the greek broadcaster (Elliniki Radiofoniki Tileorasi) (Greek:Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνική Τηλεόραση, abbrev. ΕΡΤ,ΕRT).
After nine editions of no qualifications, Greece reached the final in the 22nd edition in Sofia, Bulgaria. Eleni Foureira selected internally to represent Greece in Bulgaria with the song "Mono Gia Sena". This was the second appearance of Foureira in the contest, the first being the 8th edition. Greece drawn to compete in the second semi final where it won it and received a place to the final. Being one of the favourites to win, Greece came third in the jury vote while it won the televoting. Although, Greece finished in second place, being the best result of the country. Greece automaticly qualified in the 23rd edition, being a member of the Big 6.
Greece has so far competed in a total of twenty-eight shows ‒ eighteen semi-finals, eight finals and two pre-qualification rounds. The country has been allocated to perform in the first half for the majority of the contests. Also, when the country was an automatic qualifier, they were always drawn to perform in the second half.
The North Vision Awards (formerly known as the After-show Awards) is a ceremony held to honor the artists and songs of the editions. Sweden has received nine awards out of the thirty-one nominations of the Swedish artists and songs.
The North Vision Song of the Year (also known simply as Song of the Year) is the annual award show held to honor the best song from the editions that were held during the respective year. One Greek entry made it to the top 50 of 2016.

The contest takes place during the contest, usually during the second semi-final of the respective edition. It is not an televised event, but only through YouTube. Greece debuted in the first edition already, held for the eighth edition.
