"Into the Fire" is a song by Danish singer Freya. It was released on 29 September 2014 as her comeback single after her musical absence and was included in her third studio albu, Thrills (2015). It was written and composed by Freya along with Daniel Gidlund.
The song represented Denmark in the twelfth edition of the North Vision Song Contest after it won the eighth edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. Due to Denmark being the host, it didn't have to compete in the semi-finals and was an automatic qualifier. In the final it got the twenty-first place with 73 points.
Freya was among the only four selected acts of the eighth edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with her song "Into the Fire". She managed to win the selection with 280 points, 19 points over the runner-up. After winning the selection, Freya performed her song in several countries, including Norway, Sweden and Lebanon.
As Denmark was a host and therefore part of the big 5, Freya was automatically qualified for the final and did not have to perform in a semi-final. In the final, Freya performed tenth and got the twenty-first place with 73 points. The song did not receive 12 points from any country.
