The Junior North Vision Song Contest, often shortened JNVSC, or Junior North Vision, is a song contest on Youtube held among the members of the North Broadcasting Union since July 2013 and is inspired by the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The contest is the junior pendant for the North Vision Song Contest.

Each country's head of delegation gets to select an entry for each edition either by internal or national selection. Then the countries get to vote for each show (semi-final and final) to determine the qualifiers and the winner of each edition.

So far, seven countries have won the competition and therefore hosted the contest. Apart from Estonia, which hosted due to being the organizer of the contest, the United Kingdom, Finland, Romania, Netherlands, Andorra, Ukraine and Albania have been winners and hosts of the contest. Finland has won the contest twice.

History

On 4 July, the original contest Kid's North Vision was opened by Burghelea Bogdan to seek for new and talented child singers all around Europe. Every full member of the NBU could submit one representant.

The contest's first edition officially started off on 14 August with 24 countries. The first ever winning country was the United Kingdom with Gabz who gained a total amount of 212 points with her song "Lighters".

Logo and theme

The general logo, which was created by a German team, was introduced in the third edition. The logo featured the name of the contest and below of it, the name of the host city appeared along with the number of the edition. The word "Northvision" was formed in a calligraphic font while the letter "V" was replaced by a heart where the flag of the host appeared. Additional to that, the word "Junior" was highlighted in the colours of a rainbow to show off the playfulness and happiness of young musicians.
