Kazakhstan participated in the North Vision Song Contest 14 in Astana, Kazakhstan. Their entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by the national broadcaster, NTK. The nation was represented by Andrey Tikhonov with the song "Tomorrow is Today". As the host country, Kazakhstan was automatically qualified to the final, where it placed 23rd with 49 points.
Before North Vision[]
Kazakhstan confirmed their participation in the fourteenth edition on 11 April 2015. Originally a national selection was considered, but due to the cost of hosting the actual contest, it was announced an internal selection would take place. The entry was to be presented on 18 April, but was postponed to 19 April due to technical issues.
The artist and song were presented in a live show, hosted by Oksana Peters. Andrey Tikhonov, the winner of X Factor in Kazakhstan, was chosen, with the song "Tomorrow is Today".
At North Vision[]
As the winner of the last edition, Kazakhstan was automatically qualified to the final on 20 June. In the final, Kazakhstan received a wildcard and chose to perform 23rd, following Lebanon and preceding the Czech Republic.
In the final, Kazakhstan placed 23rd, receiving 49 points, having received no 12 points, but 10 points from Portugal. This is by far the worst Kazakh result in the final.
