Career[]

Liene Greifāne is a Latvian singer, who is also known as Candy, LieneCandy mostly. She became known because of a talent show called "Fabrikas Muzikālais Teātris" where she was the runner up, but then on she participated in other shows like: "Zvaigžņu lietus"(3rd place)"Dziedi ar Zvaigzni — Milžu cīņas" with Mārtiņu Burki-Burkevicu(4th place). She also worked in theater and the shows she played in were: "Puķu bērns", "Robinsona dārgumi", "Pasaule, pasaulīte", "Velniņi". In 2011 she changed her stage name from Candy to LieneCandy and since 2014 she uses her real name.

Eurovision Song Contest[]

She eventually participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008. She was a backvocalist of the Pirates of the Sea group. She participated in the national selection of Latvia in 2011 and 2013, but she failed to enter the contest on her own and not as a backvocalist.

Northvision Song Contest[]

After her fail at Dziesma2013 she entered Latvijas Dziesma Festival with her song Higher and Higher and she came and won the selection, even in the Grand Final, but even in the Super Final. Liene participated in North Vision Song Contest 2. She qualified to the Grand Final and placed 25th at the final result, which was Latvia's first time to qualify and the best result until the 6th edition. She had many other entries fighting for representing her country again, but she never got the chance to win again, but she usually sends strong songs as she always qualifies to the Grand Final of the selections and ends up in high places.
