The Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix 1 (also referred to as NMGP #1) is the first Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix, organised between the NBU broadcasters of the Nordic nations in order to promote the North Vision Song Contest to unknown Nordic singers. The first edition was held in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. The Tórsvøllur with a capacity of 2000 seats was chosen as the venue for the event.
Participating countries
The six Nordic NBU-member states Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway and Sweden all confirmed for the first edition of the event.
