North Vision Song of the Year (also known simply as Song of the Year) is the annual award show held to honor the best song from the editions that were held during the respective year. The first ceremony was held for 2015.

Format

The users are able to nominate their favorite songs from the editions that were held within the year of the respective ceremony. The fifty most nominated songs advance to the next round where the users are able to vote for their favorites to advance to the last round of the ceremony. The ten most voted songs advance to the last round, where the users have vote in Northvision-style by giving 12 to their favorite song, 10 to their second favorite, 8 to the their third favorite and so on up to 1 point to their least favorite. The top 3 and the winner are revealed during the final of the year's last edition.

Ceremonies

2015

The first ceremony was held in 2015. The users were able to nominate among the songs that participated between the twelfth and seventeenth editions. The fifty songs that advanced to the second stage were revealed on 15 December 2015 and the poll opened the same day. The ten songs that made it to the next round were revealed on 18 December 2015. The top 3 and the winner of the award were revealed during the final of the seventeenth edition. The winner was "Movies" by Rykka, the winner of the sixteenth edition, while "All of the Pieces" by Reigan and "Ta Ne" by Kristína were revealed as the rest of the top 3.

2016

The second ceremony was held in 2016. The users were able to nominate among the songs that participated between the eighteenth and twenty-first editions. The fifty songs that advanced to the second stage were revealed on 27 November 2016 and the poll opened the same day. The ten songs that made it to the next round will be revealed on 2 December 2016. The top 3 and the winner of the award were revealed after the final of the twenty-first edition. The winner was "Diamond Hard" by Kerli, the runner-up of the twentieth edition while "Hey-La" by Ayumi and Batyr and "Guillotine" by YADi came second and third respectively.
